cluttered-room.jpg

No seriously i wonder if it’s laziness, depression, tiredness or a simple case of idgaf because no one ever comes over. It’s not that bad now, i did clean it up to an acceptable point and i keep telling myself, this time it’ll work, but it ends up being..

How about no.jpg

because generally when i’m at work i’m thinking, today’s that day i’m going to clean…

messy-house

and it’s the usual excuse, i’m too tired. I’m also only home 2 days a week (because i stay at someones house during the weekday for work) so that is generally the culprit but no, even during the week i get lazy and ‘forget’. It wasn’t always like this, when i first moved in, i always kept it pretty clean though most of the stuff i have was still in the packing crates. And it would always get progressively worse. It generally happened during the holidays where i would just be too tired, because working in retail was too stressful,
Retail.jpg

but it turned into an everyday thing where it was easier to turn on a gaming system, computer or put on movies for the night than to pick up a broom and sweep. No one will care anyway right?

My apartments like to do a yearly inspection and not bother to tell you until a week (sometimes less, like 2 days).

really-bruh-2

So they’re not even in the same month range. It would make sense to do it during the yearly renewal but they seem to not always do that. So now it takes me scrambling to get the place clean because i fail at being proactive and just keep it clean to begin with. Seriously if i spend an hour cleaning a week i wouldn’t care. But it still is a problem where i’d only clean when someone is visiting. So other than me getting into the routine of, “i’m too tired/lazy to do it” i ponder whether or not the last girl i was interested in didn’t do something.

rejected

Yes, i was rejected and not only that i was completely fine with being friends which was my original intention but i had people going,
ask-her-out

which actually ruined any chances of being best friends with her, because she would always assume that was interested in her which i was but she didn’t need to know that and again was completely fine with being friends.
Friend-Zone-Memes-23.jpg

but again, that was perfectly fine if i was friendzoned, but i wasn’t just friendzoned, i was work-friendzoned. Anyway, i’m not looking for anyone nor i really want to find someone, which is another topic, Transgenders is a big reason i do not date or have a relationship so for the other major reason i do not date or am not in a relationship is because while rejection is a part of life, it’s not really something i am willing to put up with when i could be focusing on other stuff, like not cleaning the house…

funny-cat-lazy-human

So i’m going to have to come up with some sort of gameplan to keep my place clean and to avoid being lazy, tired or whatever. I doubt i am seriously depressed, maybe a touch of it but certainly not enough to really avoid doing housework. I got it done for now but i need to keep it clean and not cluttered.

Coming across melodic death metal has been one of my favorite memories. It started out with At The Gates, Dark Tranquillity and In Flames. There are some great stuff in the genre and this is among one of the first songs i have been exposed to, sometime in 2002 or 2003,

Hours Passed In Exile Lyrics

As i got more involved in the metal subgenres the more i really enjoy the intense but melodic music, here’s a few youtube videos of that example (pretty rough/raw folk metal which has some symphonic, melodic black/death in it as well, pretty heavy insane stuff though so listen at your own risk there)
As I Die… – Lemuria (you could skip to 3:24 if you wish)
A Day of Reckoning by Lemuria (the amazing melodic solo comes around 4 minutes) though the rest of (both songs) it was pretty good at first, but gets pretty monotonous or tiring so those may not be the best examples, but every once in a while listening to those 2 songs are pretty epic in it’s own way but not meant to be overplayed unless of course you just go for the solos.

I actually find that listening to the more melodic, but intense stuff is better and still has some good solos in it as well…

And there are some pretty insane long songs too that are really good.

Folk music mixed with melodic death metal, and then there’s progressive melodic death metal,

(lyrics in video)

Other than some repeating lyrics throughout this song (which gets a little tedious at times) clocks around 16 minutes! If you hear it the first few times it’s amazing and even when writing this i’m playing back this song and it’s still epic. Yeah, so anyway along with my last post, My Introduction (as a Christian and metalhead) i decided to post something like this because, well i felt like it.

Or because i don’t want to be talking about controversial stuff all the time like i have been doing for the past 8 months, or a year…

Also, if you are interested, i have a last.fm profile, http://www.last.fm/user/spineshank155

Interesting enough, i wouldn’t call myself a Christian by any means. Even though on a rare occasion i might end up in church and despite me growing up as a Christian i wouldn’t really consider myself as one, since i don’t really go to church all the time or i really follow Jesus. Well really hard to put it into words really, but bottom line is i’m a major introvert. Like literally i prefer to be alone. I of course talk to some people but i’m not as social as i used to be, well at least outside of the internet, but even on the internet i have been feeling a bit reserved for quite awhile (which is another subject).

It could be because i like a lot of metal but i was introverted before i even heard the first Metallica album. But well as i (sorta) present myself as a Christian but a very introverted one at that (i don’t really come off as a Christian or really tell people this either), and neither i do with listening to metal. Now you probably may wonder, some people may still live in the dark ages when rock and roll was considered satanic in the religious sector and i’m sure some people still do. But now there’s metal with mindless screaming. Yahoo!!

(Before you go clicky on all the youtube videos, be warned there is satanic stuff going on in there….)

(..not really)

Anyway enough of the jokes with metal and…

Ok, that one was really bad.. but it’s supposed to be a Friday the 13th parody (along with Friday by Rebecca Black). I thought it was funny, but some people might not think so. Too much violence there.. so here is a realistic serious metal song.

One of my favorites, Mors Principium Est (description of the band name may come soon as i’m interested in what it means, never bothered to look it up) so in all seriousness, the reason i did this blog is i’m genuinely curious of what Christians think of metal music (pay no attention to the first 2 videos as they were most likely bad jokes). Oh here are the lyrics to the song, Monster In Me.

I know there are some Christian bands like Living Sacrifice, Antester (sp?), and there’s a Christian rock band, Skillet which has gained a lot of media attention. I told myself i would only post 3 videos to avoid any lagging but here’s two more tracks, i’ve been on a melodic death metal frenzy lately.

So in hopes of getting some feedback on this one i wonder how many Christians out there like metal, i know of a few that has.. i was on a forum site dedicated to Christians who like metal, but it got too complicated and too much drama ensued from the site. So i left the site. Also if this post is laggy, let me know because it’s probably because there’s too many videos on it. I get email notifications when someone comments too but it may take a day or two to accept the comments (mostly due to the fact this blog thingy is posting controversial stuff that makes people foam at the mouth).

no-transgenders

Like a snowball effect the hatred against transgenders continue to rise among Americans. It’s really not that surprising considering the amount of backlash goes on during the daily basis such as what is going on with these kids, 4 convicted of kidnapping and torturing a special needs man which has received death threats already.

And a couple of my favorites,

Transgender Killer Moved from Female Prison after Sex with Inmates
A Parent’s Guide To Not Transing The Kids

In those sea of links (yes i often get this in my newsfeeds) and it’s just a bit disconcerting to say the least. Mostly the fact that there is fight between whether or not it’s ok to let kids transition or not. Transgender visibility in the media is definitely increasing and it has not changed my perception. There’s a lot of hate against transgenders and a few links above including the trans killer having sex with female inmates and sure, if you read the article carefully and do the research they are not transgender at all. But the general public doesn’t care. All it takes is the fact the guy claimed he was transgender to take advantage of the situation and he was pretty successful at it too, to get people riled up.

Many people do not trust transgenders for these reasons and already there’s a lot of hate and violence against transgenders. If they are not driven to suicide someone will try to murder them. But like anything, transgender activists will put the blame on the media and the public for having such an irrational fear or hate for transgenders. Not only that transgender activism continues to lump intersex people as transgender. Parents know this and that should be the only medical intervention for children to decide, with adult supervision of course. More than likely this is where it all started and broadened to include children who exhibit gender dysphoria. Whatever the case is the other link, a parent’s guide to not transing the kids shows that people are growing impatient that someone like Kenneth Zucker will come around to help raise their kids so they do not have to fear their life. Such as the link where an 11 year old transgender kid got shot in the head with a BB gun. The insanity of allowing a child to transition and then is subjected to constant bullying which leads to destructive harm. It just won’t end either, even though that article may have a happy ending it just ends with a bunch of people supporting the kid through the grief which gives the kid a moment of relief. But it won’t stop. It will get worse for these people when they get involved in relationships and while you can do background checks on people, just because they are nice and not dangerous to be around doesn’t mean something bad will happen.

When i was a young Christian, i’ve seen other Christians do harmful things to others and couldn’t understand it. Later on in life i have noticed that like with anything else, Christianity is just a label. I have seen Christians listen to satanic music such as Deicide (though i know many that are too afraid to even touch that subject) and later on came to the conclusion that it really doesn’t matter who you are, what religion you have you still have to just watch out for everyone. Nowadays not much does surprise me, as a metalhead who happens to be a Christian, i see that others are similar. But that’s another subject altogether (which may end up in the next blog, metal music and Christianity).

Back to the subject at hand, in reality the transgender activism is self destructing, take a look at this article, (I am Jazz) Doll based on transgender teen to debut at New York Toy Fair and already the comments are flooding in on this topic (on Facebook mostly) ranging from transgenders are mentally ill to commenting on the doll, “is the private parts detachable?”. I have even seen a couple that mention if the doll commits suicide. This is how people see transgenders. And still the transgender activists insist that children be allowed to choose their gender (or live as the gender they feel that they are, because they are born that way). These people do not really have the best interest in our children’s future and continue to force feed American parents that transing your kids is the only way to prevent the suicide risk. Which has been proven time and again that is just false. Sure, parents who support their trans kids are more likely to have a lower suicide risk but in order to avoid the outside interference you have to find a location that largely supports transgenders and then move. That isn’t an option for many people and including parents with children, battling the finances and keeping the job they are happy with already.

But what the transgender activism wants is to change society. They most likely don’t think that parents should move. The parents should be ‘educating the neighbors and schools’. And well, trying to convince people of intersex people (which should be a different story) is difficult enough, people still consider intersex to be ‘freaks of nature’. The hate continues but again this damages the ability for intersex people to live normally because while the gender dysphoria gets all the attention, the intersex subject gets tucked away quietly but they too are being discriminated against due to the transgender label. Again as always, it’s recommended that parents learn the dangers of allowing their children to transition and to find another way. As parents are coming together to compare notes on how to help their kids, there is already another way and there may just be other people like Kenneth Zucker out there who actively helps children overcome their confusion about gender.
